M2 Pipeline Trail - 14th June 2009
Two days of rain gave way to a sunny day as we gathered at the
Tasker Road junction and exchanged pleasantries - or whatever we choose to call
them. Twelve 'jeeps' took part in this event. - a really encouraging number
-some with passengers.
There was not the expected mud, but the terrain and scenery were worth it. An
unnecessary small river crossing and a necessary larger one, provided some of
the longed for stick and recovery operations.
The curry duck cook was fantastic. Carlvin is a great cook up organiser - here
is how it went: Anil ordered the roti; Anil bought the duck and had it cut up;
auntie Tara seasoned it; Shiva cooked it. Carlvin gets the credit for a great
meal. Thanks to the team.
Special thanks to Anil G. who plotted the course and to David LS who came out to
assist with scrutineering (and ask for our driving permits).
Respectfully submitted,
Trevor.
