Trail
Report prepared by Paul Tiah
Hey Folks, excellent Tobago Trail 2008. The vehicle turn
out was small but the Drive around the island and short Trail was
totally enjoyed by all as evident by the pics below. We started with 10
adventurous souls heading up the Northern side of the island on our way
to Charlotteville, taking the time to stop in all the bays and take
pics.
Here the two SUZUKI Rentals and Frankie’s L200 stop for a quick photo of the bay.

Here Co-pilot Richard is asking for directions…..

Gary & Richard pose over the magnificent bay.

These two “criminals’ recklessly flaunt with the local laws!

Then its trail time!!! A nice fairly smooth river to have some fun in!

Now seeing that Rentals were involved, everyone drove with a feather foot…..right Gary?

Here we are continuing up the river.

Stopping every now and again for a photo op.

The two Suzuki’s leading the way.

Then out of the blue, Frankie flies past spraying water on the picturetakeouters.

Cautiously exiting

After that spray down, Frankie was heavily “mannerz” and the Boss took over!

After Charlotteville it was a mad dash back to Crown Point to prepare for the night bbq and lime. A total of 20 persons made the lime, with a couple that offroaded with us three years ago, in Tobago on their Honeymoon! Congrats Ben!
Then it was BBQ time, the chef’s in Action cooking a wide assortment of meats.

Here Tony keeps a close eye to ensure I don’t “BUN” de meat.

When the dinner bell rang there was a mad dash for plates.

While some finished their drinks.

And some waited for the rush to subside.

Finally got a clear shot of Gary driving a SUZUKI, never saw a happier driver….check the smile on his face.

For those who could have made the lime on Monday, it was off to the beach and then an evening of jet-skiing, here we’re loading up and getting ready to rumble.

Seven lucky folks made some serious waves out there, with Richard giving us a spectacular wipeout! Thanks Richard.

These two just in, totally soaked!

These kids gave great assistance in pushing this Daihatsu Terrios….
TOYOTA again!

Well a great weekend was had by all thanks to everyone that made it and I look forward to next years Tobago Trail 2009.
With this last frame Tony says it all, It was a Splash!
