Competition Rules 2007
The competition begins at 8:00am. Competition fee will be $100. All competitors
are expected on-site at 8:00am on Sunday 11th November. Last vehicle will be
scrutineered at 8:30am. Vehicles arriving after this time will be allowed to
compete (upon payment of competition fee) but will not receive scrutineering
points.
The draw for position starts at 9:00am. Immediately after the draw we will walk
the course. Any safety issues or course changes will be made at this time based
on consensus and course condition.
First vehicle starts at 9:00am. Penalty points will apply for late start by
first vehicle. All other vehicles must be at the start gate within 3 minutes of
the previous vehicle finishing the course to avoid penalty points.
Penalty points-
All competitors start with 300 points. Deductions will be made for the
following:
1. Touching a gate with the vehicle or body-5 points
2. Touching a container as the number is inserted into the container-10 points
3. Each number not deposited-10 points
4. Late arrival at event. Deduct one point for each minute (or part thereof)
after 8:05am
5. Deduct 10 points for each minute (or part thereof) not at start position.
6. Deduct 10 points for each gate not attempted.
7. Ignoring Marshall's directive- 15 points
8. Not stopping at prescribed point - 5 points
9. Handicap for tractor tyres or diameters over 35". To be determined based on
number of competitors. No other handicaps will be applied.
10: Deduct 5 points for each scrutineer item not included.
Competitors are allowed up to three minutes between gates or face
disqualification. Within that time he is allowed to reverse, come out of the
vehicle, retrieve dropped number etc.
No protests will be entertained later than one hour after the last competitor
has completed the course. Protest jury will consist of the President (Gary), the
Events Manager (Raffick) and the Course Designer (Gauph).
