A few of the more adventurous off roaders attempted the WASA II trail that intimidated so many before (cancelled twice in the last two months!) and it proved to be loads of fun. (I would grade it a 2-3). Initially 7 of us confirmed attendance on this wasa wasa trail, but unfortunately Sheldon mixed up the name and time and went Passa Passa in Montrose Saturday night...
A few pics to illustrate our day which started of meeting at "Sheldons" Bar in Williamsville for 8:30am where Trev had a pleasant surpise of too much brake....so the fixit crew sprang into action and quickly free'd up that binding front disc.

Then it was a scenic drive to the trail head, where Trev decided to soak the trail further.

Fully aware of what is to come, ALL procedded to air down to maximise traction inside.

Carlvin took the lead and quickly realised how slushy the terrain was.

Frankie slipping and sliding, but making it through.

Carlvin continuing to show how well this jeep is wukkin!

Trevor finally opening up that throttle and drove well for the entire day!

Now this is where things got a bit tricky. Paul in trying to keep the charity on everyone's mind, decided to play host to a group of baby rats, that fell out of his dashboard....off course his Navigator Andy was out of his jeep in a flash! the scream was heard all the way in Piparo!
Anyway, rats thrown out ...we were well on our way again! ( i know i ent go hear de end of dis one!)

Some skillfull driving by Trev.....which shocked him as well!

Mud was not a problem to find, and had Frankie in his prime!

Don't let these pics fool ya, the areas where we stuck took some serious recovery, but because the vehicles were light we were out of each situation very quickly due to the effective team work. Well done fellas! Some members even decieded to call it a Suzuki trail because there's no way the Toyota's can get through this one!

Trev really had that engine roaring.....

Conch break....Carlvin stopped by this river and had us looking for some jumbo river conchs.

This hill was the toughest, and all had a blast trying to get up....

Unfortunately, Carlvin overheated just before the top and had to stop and cool off....

Frankie lost traction and ended up sideways..and Trev made it up successfully.

Winching 101 by Paul

Strongman Roy demonstrating real muscle power in this recovery.

This next hill tricked us into thinking its a breeze from here...

The hill proved to be real stress....with slushy mud filled pools all over....

Navigator Andy shouts instructions from on top!... while Trev pretends to listen.

Trevor's rig...we gotta find a name for it...any suggestions?

Now thta is comraderie!! .... a happy bunch completed the trail successfully around two pm... and we were going to do it in reverse byt Trev was feeling a bit under the weather... (someone suggested his pills were wearing off!!)

Then it was a short drive to the Navet Small dam, where the charity part of the event kicked in ...here we see Carlvin and Roy generously giving to these malnourished 4x4 puppies

We left the dam and made one last pit stop at the Tabaquite Grand Couva junstion ... which was not a good idea as we parked below a political banner and we were wearing their colors apparently ... so we got a lot of picong ... and stares as people were checking the muddy condition of the jeeps ... but a great day was had by all.
