Folks,
I just wanted to share a few photos of the Safari 4x4 (off-road) competition yesterday in Barbados which I attended. The event was well organised and the course was very difficult morso for the smaller Zuks. The action was non-stop from start to finish and the crowd turnout was huge (few hundred people maybe more), the food vendor had his best sales to date at the venue which also host a leg of the Barbados international stage rally. This is an excellent sign for the sport in Barbados and certainly can contribute to the sport tourism on the island. I hope that our own competitions can develop into a more spectator orientated event if we truly want to develop interest in the sport.
A very special thanks to Lindsay Farmer for taking me around and for finding a ‘stand pipe’ to wash my muddy foot & rubber slipper before boarding my flight.
