Cedros Overnight.
December 3rd and 4th, 2005

Trail Report by Sham Mahabir.

Cedros run turned out to be quite an adventure this year.

With most of the vehicles/drivers being new members, and the terrain being quite dry when compared to previous years, we did a 3 1/2 hour grade 2 drive Saturday night  from about 9:00 pm to about 1:00 am.

There were no major challenges until I decided to explore a new obstacle and discover at midnight the " What the F--- hill".

At midnight anything can look good ( if you had some drinks) or impossible (on a clear head) as was the case here.

I must say that the new members accepted the challenge put to them and did well.

Congratulations to Keith for building up the guts to come down the hill with his Weber and the brainpower to ask for assistance from a Toyota.

Paul has new respect for the vehicle (I wonder what make) that had to pull him out of the one mud hole we found. Wonder what would have happened if we found more?

On Sunday morning at 7:30am we set out to explore another estate that had mud to stick a 4x4 tractor.

We began the trail (sweet mother of mud) with a stretch of mud, ruts, and mud holes one after the other.

The vehicle in front seemed to enjoy the trail until an adventurous  vehicle right behind ( white with a 2C engine) whose name we shall not call demonstrated the art of the slow side roll.

Luckily for the driver, the 200lb passenger was wearing his seat belt or we would mashed Sheldon (oops I said a name) and stewed chicken for lunch.

The other passenger was trying out the new Shake and Bake Sally recipe

The recovery was true text book , well performed by the members present.

WE MUST DO THIS TRAIL AT NIGHT.

Barbeque, fried chicken, pepper chicken,  stewed chicken,  grilled fish,  fish broth, eggs, garlic bread, curried duck, man that was food.

To those who did not attend, boy you miss out......Mudlover
