Morne Diable Teak Fields in South Trinidad. June 12th, 2005

Morne Diablo lived up to its name and claimed two “soles” and a tractor! Thank goodness the rain did not come down, otherwise we will still be inside there. New member Rafeek Mohammed sent an excellent report on his first trail. Click Here to read.

Here we are at the start of the Trail, everyone airing down and meeting the “Tractor Posse” that WayneB organized to assist on the trail.

Here we learn how a stuck tractor can recover itself quite easily.

 

Trail repairs, TTORC;s newest member Rafeek Mohammed assists in some trail repairs to DiffLocs, custom fabricated exo cage 4x4. DavidLS is also seen admiring the undercarriage of his 4x4. (which we have been told is a common practice)

 

Our Events manager ShaneB pulled off an amazing escape from this mudhole, only to sink into a deeper hole a few meters after.

 

The trail proved to be quite slippery at times. Gauph N slid off course, and due to clutch problems had to be recovered.

 

Interesting recoveries.

 

Even the General had to be rescued by the Tractor Posse.
