Congratulations to Keith, the lime was a
resounding success. Literally everyone from infant to ancient had a relaxed
good time at the 'social' spot. The mini run/mini training was fun and
funny, thanks to all but also to Sham in particular.
Shiva's fare was excellent, and he managed
to cater to everyone from tender-mouthed infants to adults whose mouths are
harder than their backs!
Shane's temporary, albeit short-lived, miraculous
recovery from back injury whilst next to the maxi-taxi was an inspiration to
all sufferers.
Rick's "knock your mirror off" passing
technique was rather justified, only seen by those up front, and a personal
thanks to Curtis for the most timely road-block on the highway....... Barrie

Hey Folks,
Excellent day yesterday. Thanks Keith for replacing the scheduled trail with
the "Caura Coolout" yesterday. The food by Shiva was great and the
camaraderie was inspiring.
Thanks also to Sham for suggesting the additional trail run further inside,
(I think it was the spot PQT had suggested for the competition), that was a
fun trail and would make an excellent competition site. It's a pity PQT
missed out on it, as I'm sure he would have enjoyed watching us conquer his
course!
Look forward to more trails like this one. Keep up the great work Keith.
Rgds....Paul

We had an
excellent turnout yesterday:
Paul T ; Barrie L.S. ; Gary W with two of his guest; Shiv M ; Ram and his
children, ; Tony Q. and his son ; Sham; Roland and his guest ; John L. ;
Shane B. and Rawle ; Edward D. and his family ; Rick C. and Curtis and Wayne
our new member . We were also joined by Raymond "Stray Dog" and his son.
There are lots of action shots that I'm sure the "photo taker-outers" will
share + Raymond had his video cam going.
Thanks to all for a fun day.....Regards Keith.

And here are the "pics" to prove it.
Many thanks to the club's official "taker-outers" John and Ric.

First the jeeps need to "bond" under the trees by UWI South Gate
..and its into Caura and here is Gary on a river crossing

...before the boys, like Barrie, can really play..

Edward gets his nose wet....

..while Keith is being followed by some guy (!!)...

...before he makes his escape.

Apparently this is a rare shot of Paul's jeep stationary !..

...not like this lovely Daihatsu (note the curved doors)..

..and here, Ladies and Gentlemen, is a future "Off Roader of the Year",
Raymond's son Enrique..

..but now onto the serious part of the day...

with Ric "posing" .......

Tony guarding.....

to make sure the other "Off Roader of the Year", Michael, is safe and sound.
And then it was the reason we all came ....

Shiva's excellent curried Goat

Of course some guys had to share theirs.....

..and thus ended what one member called "the best day so far this year"
