World Environment Day.

At the initiative of our President and Events Manager, the club decided to turn out in full force to beautify the environment that we enjoy so much on World Environment Day. First we headed up to the Historic Site in the Caroni Areana Forest to clear the bush and repaint the tombstone, seats etc

So here is the full team gathered in the "Before" photo...

Work involved removing a fallen tree....

and generally cleaning the area

Keith and Dale hard at work.....

Gary and Rick doing their part....

Gaufh and Tony working up a sweat...

Rick even put his wife Diane to work!!

Lincoln saying "no, no it's cotton"....and Q posing for the Berger shot

The President kept disappearing to his truck....
and the star of the day...Forest Ranger Mikey

...and here is the "After" shot. The whole area was cleaned and repainted.

Then it was onto the Forestry Commission Office a little further up the road where we cut the grass to virtually the entire compound and repainted the wall that once carried the welcome sign.

.

They even had young boys and old men working !!

But with the help of Berger who donated the paint and Trinidad Brushware who gave us the wire brushes and paint brushes for the entire project we came through smiling again.
