Pipe Line from S'do to Princess Town

A hot Sunday saw a small (4 vehicles) but enthusiastic team set off to explore the Pipeline from San Fernando Tech heading South. President Lincoln and members David LS and Gaufh were there to see us off.

From Left to right: Paul Tiah, Fareed Mohammed & Rodney Sooknanan (prospective members), Shane Blackman and Rodney Thomas, (camera man PQT)
( David LS in background)

So with our intrepid leader in front....he promptly led us into "the tall grass".

....where under his expert guidance we all got stuck!!

Of course it didn't take long to recover everyone and then it was onto a very interesting river crossing. The "river" was actually a main drain from Usine St. Madeline and carried all the waste effluent out to the Gulf. First we had to break down a 4' high bank to enter the river. Here we see the team hard at work (with some guy in the background who just rushed into the picture with a cutlass the moment the camera appeared!)

Ramp completed, our leader "nosed" his way into the pungent smelling stream ...

and made it safely to the other side where some assistance was needed to make it up the bank.....

The others crossed over safely as well.
(But only after Shane showed us his special "Using only the starter motor, push half a ton of mud in front of you to get your vehicle level, so you can start your vehicle" trick

After a well earned lunch (we are moving a motion that Rodney Sooknanan's Mum be made an honorary member) we pressed on with Shane showing us "how low he could go"

Paul's vehicle was definitely the most capable one on the run although Hercules tried to show off occasionally...

Paul even claimed the next shot was of him pulling Hercules out of a drain...
I leave it to you to judge!!

All in all a great day off roading and exploring
